IMD business school for management and leadership courses

Oversight, guidance, and integrity

Our President is David Bach. The President is appointed by the Supervisory Board. Under his leadership, the Executive Committee proposes IMD’s business goals, financial targets, and annual budgets within the strategic guidelines agreed with the Supervisory Board.

The President proposes the structure and composition of his Executive Committee. He regularly informs the Supervisory Board about developments, issues, actions, and results and he delivers an annual activity report to the Foundation Board. A quality assurance strategy describes how the Executive Committee, faculty and staff strive to over-achieve relative to the expectations of participants and stakeholders

The Foundation Board is our ultimate governing body. Together with the Supervisory Board, it ensures that IMD remains relevant to the evolving needs of the global corporate community. These two boards are comprised of key stakeholders – including CEOs from companies with which IMD has strong learning partnerships, leaders of academic institutions, alumni, and faculty.
