A warm welcome to the IMD Alumni Lausanne Club portal!
As an IMD Alumna/us, you have embarked on a Life Long Learning Journey and we are very pleased to help you make it a constant reality by offering you an ideal platform here at the Lausanne Club where you can:
- continuously exchange business ideas and management experiences in local and international business through professional, educational and social events.
- establish, maintain and strengthen the relationship among IMEDE, IMI, and IMD Alumni in the club’s geographical area, which is the Cantons of Vaud, Neuchâtel, Valais, Fribourg and Jura.
- establish, maintain and strengthen the relationship with IMD staff and professors.
We typically hold 10 events per year on real world business issues or people and real life learning experiences on various subjects of general interests as well as monthly informal after work events.
If you wish to become a member of our club and contribute, you just need to register and settle a modest contribution of CHF 100.00 per year, meant to cover our expenses.

The memberhsip gives you access to all our Club Events and Afterwork drinks free of charge. For some premium Events, we might exceptionally charge additional fees to cover exceptionnal expenses.
The yearly fee is a modest contribution of CHF 100.00, meant to cover organisation and catering expenses.
Finally and order to help us reaching you, all we ask from you is that you keep your contact details up to date, which is easily done via the IMD personal update form.

Edward is a civil engineer, responsible for IBM Business Consulting Services to Nestlé.
He became a business consultant after his MBA, worked for PwC, and joined IBM through their acquisition of the former in 2002.
He evolved from corporate and operational strategic projects to managing large IT outsourcing deals.
Prior to his MBA in 1995, he worked for ten years in the machine tool industry (product development and management, as well as sales and production management) in Belgium and France.

David holds an MBA (Dean’s list) from IMD Business School in Lausanne.
He is a real estate and hospitality leader. His areas of expertise include strategy, fundraising, marketing and sales and international business development with multinationals as well as start-ups. In particular, he has a key insight into the HNW and UHNW client, luxury and lifestyle arenas worldwide.
David brings over 30 years experience in real estate, hospitality, internet/ proptech, travel & tourism, investment and merchant banking with companies including CHRISTIE’s, IntraWest/ playground, Immostreet, Club Med, SG Warburg and Barings.
David also holds a BSc Econ (Hons) from the London School of Economics in London.

Martin holds an MBA (Dean’s list) from IMD
Martin is a senior executive and advisor to board members and CEOs and is passionate about leading cross-functional teams of experts. His areas of expertise cover strategy, governance, business development, digital transformation and change management.
Martin brings 35 years of international experience in the fields of insurance, financial services, security printing, logistics, automotive, management consulting, packaging and IT, gained with Zurich, Orell Füssli, Swiss Post, General Motors, McKinsey & Co., Tetra Pak and DEC. He has gathered his leadership experience both in corporate and start-up environments.
Prior to his current position as Chief of Staff Vita with Zurich and the Vita joint foundations with focus on occupational pension schemes, he was a member of the executive Board of Orell Füssli and redesigned the group’s strategy, risk management and compliance processes and led a major strategic transformation program.
Martin also holds a MSc. in Engineering Physics (summa cum laude) and a Ph.D. in physics from KTH (the Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm.
Before transferring to Switzerland, Martin has lived in Sweden and in the USA. He is fluent in English, French, German and Swedish. Once a military interpreter Russian – Swedish, his knowledge of Russian is modest.
In his free time, Martin enjoys alpine skiing and rock climbing, sailing, opera singing and wine tasting.

Marc is a management consultant with 15 years’ experience in technology and telecommunications. Marc is currently the CEO of Alpha Lyrae, a consulting firm based in Lausanne specializing in digital transformation and analytics. Prior to this, Marc spent 3 years as a team leader in Samsung’s Corporate Strategy department in Korea, and another 7 years for France Telecom Orange.
Marc has a Light Aircraft Pilot License, with 60 hours of flight.
In addition to his MBA from IMD, Marc holds a Diplôme d’Ingénieur / MSc. in statistics and networks from Telecom Paris.

Manuela obtained a Degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institue of International Studies in 1992 and an MBA from IMD in 2002. With more than 25 years’ experience in Human Resources, she has held several senior international management positions in the Consumer Goods, Medical Technology, Hi-Tech, Engineering and Pharma industries. After her IMD MBA graduation, she became the Human Resources Director of the European Cardiovascular Division of Medtronic International, subsequently held the position of Corporate Vice President Human Resources at Advanced Digital Broadcast and then became Global Division Vice President Human Resources at IMI Hydronics. She joined Debiopharm International in 2014 where, as a Senior Executive Director Human Resources and member of the Executive Board, she is leading the People, Culture and Organization Development roadmap for the company.
Manuela lives in Lausanne, she is the mother of a 15 year old girl, she enjoys traveling, modern and contemporary art, architecture and design.

Sophia is a marketing and operations strategist dedicated to growing small businesses. Her passion for systems and processes landed her management for positions in large corporations for the last 10 years. She is now helping busy entrepreneurs grow their business and simplify their life by tapping into the power of teams, systems and social media. In her free time you will find her running on a mountain, swimming in the sea or playing with her children.

Bruno has 25+ years working experience in R&D in aerospace, pharma, medtech as well as in production and operations in the sector of micromechanics.
He has participated in and led complex projects for developing electromechanical systems, manufacturing equipment and processes for new products and for life cycle management programs. Bruno has extensive experience in defining and implementing innovative solutions requiring a multidisciplinary approach and cross pollination.
He is currently active in developing business opportunities in renewable energies in Switzerland and abroad while also working in consulting projects in his areas of expertise.
Bruno has lived in Switzerland, Mexico, France and Spain, he is proficient in French, English, Spanish and Italian.
Besides the EMBA, he holds an MSc from EPFL (MT-1995).

Claudio Menz, a German and Swiss national with a Master degree in mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen with 25+ years as a seasoned executive leader and expert in management consultancy.
He possesses a multi-faceted expertise in business building and turn-arounds, a capacity that has allowed him to effectively drive various market assessments leading to profitable business developments in Europe, USA and Asia.
In senior management positions, he has headed endeavours in brand management, in driving technology innovations and transforming organizations into lucrative consumer-centric operations.
Claudio is familiar with operating in consumer, health and luxury companies such as Procter & Gamble, Firmenich, Bayer and Richemont. Besides providing leadership to a variety of startups in Switzerland, through Claudio’s initiative and under his leadership a Swiss business in winter sporting goods from the 1930’s is profitably relaunched, offering personalized and precision crafted products previously only available to ski athletes.
In his current role, Claudio supports corporate clients to anticipate future business opportunities leveraging the strength of their assets, by taking advantage of digital innovations and AI for customer interactions, leading to new ways to achieve profitable growth and stronger customer bonding.
Claudio is a proud father of two children and lives close to Lausanne. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, biking, flying single engine aircrafts and exploring the outdoors with his family.
Clémentine has over 25 years’ professional experience both in the FMCG and in the Industry sector, acquired in various positions in Switzerland and abroad.
She has held senior line positions and led internal consulting teams for major multinational companies such as Nestlé and Ecolab.
Passionate about sustainability, she supports private and public companies developing their strategy and translating it into sustainable, responsible and result-driven actions.
Clémentine holds a Master of Economics from the University of Lausanne and an MBA from IMD. She is fluent in English, Spanish, German, Italian and French.
Clémentine lives in Vevey. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, painting and sharing a good glass of wine with her friends.
