A warm welcome to the IMD Alumni Lausanne Club portal!

As an IMD Alumna/us, you have embarked on a Life Long Learning Journey and we are very pleased to help you make it a constant reality by offering you an ideal platform here at the Lausanne Club where you can:

  • continuously exchange business ideas and management experiences in local and international business through professional, educational and social events.
  • establish, maintain and strengthen the relationship among IMEDE, IMI, and IMD Alumni in the club’s geographical area, which is the Cantons of Vaud, Neuchâtel, Valais, Fribourg and Jura.
  • establish, maintain and strengthen the relationship with IMD staff and professors.

We typically hold 10 events per year on real world business issues or people and real life learning experiences on various subjects of general interests as well as monthly informal after work events.

If you wish to become a member of our club and contribute, you just need to register and settle a modest contribution of CHF 100.00 per year, meant to cover our expenses.

    Where IMD is headed – Vision and Strategy

    We are delighted to welcome Professor David Bach, President of IMD, who will share with us his Ambition, Vision and Strategy for IMD. David will also share some key impressions from his first 100 days in his new role as President.About David Bach:Recognized globally as an innovator in management education, Bach previously served as IMD’s Dean of Innovation and Programs. Under his leadership, the school won multiple awards for groundbreaking pedagogy and executive programs. Before joining IMD in 2020, he was Deputy Dean at Yale School of Management where he led the successful expansion of the school’s degree program portfolio and the creation of Yale Center Beijing. He is one of the principal architects of the Global Network for Advanced Management, an alliance of 32 top global business schools from five continents, of which IMD has been a member since 2012.As Nestlé Professor of Strategy and Political Economy, Bach helps leaders navigate the myriad political challenges facing business today. A celebrated teacher, his course ‘The End of Globalization?’ received the 2018 Ideas Worth Teaching Award from the Aspen Institute. His research on nonmarket strategy, stakeholder management, and global politics has been published in leading practitioner and academic journals, including Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, Rotman Management, International Organization, Journal of European Public Policy, Governance, and the Review of International Political Economy.     THIS EVENT IS ALREADY FULLY BOOKEDWe have the pleasure to invite you for a visit to the UEFA Campus in Nyon.After a tour of the campus, we will have the opportunity to listen to:Giorgio Marchetti – UEFA Deputy General Secretary and Director of FootballGiorgio Marchetti joined football’s European governing body in February 2004 as Director of Professional Football and Marketing. Following a UEFA reorganization, Giorgio became UEFA Director of Competitions in 2007. In this role he has been responsible for all UEFA club and national team competitions, at senior and youth level. In December 2016 he became Director of Football, being given responsibility over technical and development matters. At the same time he was promoted to UEFA Deputy General Secretary.Giorgio Marchetti has a long and extensive experience of Italian and European football on both the administrative and commercial fronts, and he has contributed greatly to raising the profile of the European football industry.
