Diana Markaki-Bartholdi
Experience & Background
Markaki-Bartholdi has served on the board of directors of Ellaktor, a publicly traded infrastructure group doing global business in more than 30 countries, and is currently sitting on the board of directors of 5G Ventures, which manages Phaistos Fund, a multi-million sovereign fund that invests in 5G technology, where she also serves as Chair of the Board Audit Committee. She is also an equity partner in the international investment firm Venero Capital Advisors, where she leads the global ESG and Impact Investing practice out of Switzerland.
Throughout her career, she has managed international equity offerings (IPOs and secondary listings) and large M&A projects (with an aggregate value of more than €50m) and has lived and done business in New York, Milan, London, Athens, and Zurich. She has more than 15 years of experience in regulated energy and utilities markets and has held leadership positions in Europe’s largest energy infrastructure project. As a global director across 60 countries in five continents, she has managed multidisciplinary, culturally diverse, and geographically spread teams with large P&L responsibilities.
Markaki-Bartholdi holds a law degree and LLM in international and European law from the University of Athens and an EMBA from Harvard Business School.
She is also the founder of The Boardroom, the first private club for women executives who aspire to be board members. The Boardroom launched in Switzerland in 2021 with 120 founding members and is already expanding across Europe.
