IMD Professor of Digital Strategy José Parra Moyano has been recognized in the 2025 Thinkers50 Radar List for his influential thinking around AI, strategy, and innovation.
“This recognition of my work is an invitation for business leaders not only to rethink how they approach managerial challenges but also to expand their vision of the kinds of problems they aspire to solve,” he said.
Parra Moyano is an expert in digital innovation who focuses his research on its impact on economic performance and on the role that data and AI can play in solving organizational and societal challenges.
He aims to help business leaders leverage digital technology not only to grow their businesses but also to make a positive societal impact.
In a recent article with IMD professors Öykü Işık and Michael D Watkins, Parra Moyano highlights how Meta’s fact-checking exit could lead to a situation where disinformation and hate can spread unchecked on an unprecedented scale.
“To me, this distinction reinforces the idea that we are at a pivotal moment for global society and that we all need to come together to think critically and act decisively to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead, ensuring that we point towards progress and create meaningful impact for the future,” he added.
Each year, Thinkers50 identifies and celebrates 30 global experts whose ideas are set to significantly influence the business world.
In 2024, Sophie Bacq, IMD Professor of Social Entrepreneurship, was named on the Thinkers50 Radar list for her thought leadership on entrepreneurial action.
