The IMD Family Business Center has received a generous donation from Bruce Grossman, an IMD alumnus and fourth-generation member of the family that co-owns Arca Continental, the second-largest bottler in Latin America. The endowment makes Grossman the inaugural member of the IMD Family Business Circle of Benefactors and will be used to fund its research, outreach and educational activities.
“For more than thirty years, my involvement with IMD has profoundly shaped my perspective on family and our business legacy,” said Bruce Grossman. “I have seen first-hand how in-person gatherings are pivotal in helping families in business chart their futures — virtual meetings simply don’t compare – and I’m committed to ensuring the Center’s ongoing success in transforming the lives of many more families with my donation.”
Peter Vogel, Professor of Family Business and Entrepreneurship and Director of the Family Business Center expressed his gratitude for the endowment: “Bruce Grossman’s generous gift enables us to expand our educational reach into emerging economies and support our research endeavors. We are deeply thankful to Bruce and the Grossman family for entrusting IMD and the Center with their legacy, as we continue to guide families towards unity, enduring business success, and a meaningful societal impact.”
IMD President David Bach praised Grossman’s generosity and commitment to supporting the impactful work of the IMD Family Business Center. “We hope the support of the Grossman family will motivate other IMD alumni to join in and strengthen our Circle of Benefactors. Contributions like this are vital for us to stay at the forefront of innovation and to drive forward our mission of expanding IMD’s global influence and impact.”
