For the third consecutive year, IMD Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business Alfredo De Massis and IMD Professor of Family Business and Entrepreneurship Peter Vogel have been recognized among the world’s Top 25 Family Enterprise Academics by the Family Capital.

De Massis is an award-winning expert in the management and governance of family enterprises. His research examines the key factors that contribute to the long-term success and sustainability of these businesses across generations. He explores how family business leaders balance economic and non-economic goals while managing the paradox between tradition and innovation.

Vogel leads IMD’s work in this field as Director of the IMD Global Family Business Center. He is also holder of the Debiopharm Chair of Family Philanthropy. In his research, teaching, and advisory work, he collaborates with families, owners, boards, and executives of family enterprises, and family offices worldwide. He focuses on transformations, governance, ownership and leadership succession, wealth management, entrepreneurialism, and innovation. He was included in Family Capital’s Top 100 Family Business Influencers list in both 2020 and 2022.
