IMD business school for management and leadership courses
Workplace Well-being Initiative
The Workplace Well-being Initiative was established in 2023 and is led by Alyson Meister, Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior.
The initiative sits at the frontier of research into employee mental health and well-being, creating new insights, frameworks, and actionable ideas to bolster people and organizations and empower them with the emotional and cognitive resilience to thrive and prosper over time.
Our webpage brings together all IMD faculty, programs, and research on the topic of mental health and well-being at work.
Insights, frameworks, actionable ideas & tools
Our groundbreaking research delves into the challenges and risks surrounding well-being, its ties to burnout and high turnover, and the solutions and tools to manage stress, build engagement, and drive resilience. The expertise of world-renowned IMD faculty and thought leaders in workplace well-being has created new frameworks and actionable tools for leaders and organizations to help them sustain engagement and productivity.
We regularly publish articles, reports, and white papers for individuals, practitioners, and the academic community that push the frontiers of understanding the complexities and importance of mental and physical well-being in the workplace.
In collaboration with the Strategic Talent Solutions Team, we worked on the development of a resilience diagnostic for clients and programs.
Introducing new programs
We deliver game-changing Open programs for individuals and Custom programs for organizations that fully leverage faculty research and thought leadership in mental health and workplace well-being.
In 2023, we launched a pioneering new program for executives to help them manage stress in the workplace, which ran for three cohorts. The Resilient Leadership Sprint delivers research-backed techniques proven to reduce stress, improve cognitive, emotional, and physiological well-being, and boost work-life balance.
