How to apply to an IMD Open Program?

We review applications on a rolling basis, and places are limited – we encourage you to apply early to secure your spot. When reviewing applications, we look closely at your professional experience, leadership responsibilities, and overall fit for the program.

🔐 Step 2: Log in or sign up
  • New to MyIMD? Quickly create an account to get started – learn how. 
  • Already have an account? Just log into MyIMD. 
📝 Step 3: Complete the application form
  • Choose your session & fill in: 
    1. Personal & contact details 
    2. Professional experience & current role 
    3. Education 
    4. Learning objectives and key challenges (not required for OWP program) 
    5. Invoice information 
  • Confirm your availability and accept our terms & conditions. 
🔎 Step 4: Admissions review (it typically takes about 1 week)
  • Your application is reviewed to ensure the program matches your goals and profile. 
  • You might be contacted for a short call (depending on the program). 
📧 Step 5: Confirmation of enrolment
  • Once approved, you receive an email with: 
    1. Enrolment confirmation
    2. Invoice & payment details 
💰 Step 6: Pay the program fee
  • Payment is due within 30 days of invoice or before the program starts (whichever comes first). 
🧳 Step 7: Get ready!
  • Up to six weeks before the program starts, you gain access to the learning portal, where you can start dive into pre-work, explore program content, and in some cases connect with your class. A dedicated Program Coordinator will contact you with practical details, such as pre-program preparation and hotel information (for on-campus programs).

Program duration

The PED program takes place in two phases, comprising:

Stage 1: Foundations for Business Leadership: 20 consecutive days

Stage 2: Transition to Business Leadership: 2 x 2-week modules on campus with inter-module support

The flexible timetable means you can choose the best schedule to fit your needs. Programs must be followed in sequence.
