David Bach, President of IMD and Nestlé Professor of Strategy and Political Economy, helps leaders navigate the myriad challenges facing business today. As President of IMD, Bach is focused on making IMD the world’s most impactful business school. Together with his leadership team and the entire IMD community, he is working to broaden and deepen IMD’s global impact through learning innovation, excellence in degree- and executive programs, and applied thought leadership. Richard Baldwin is Professor of International Economics. He is an expert in global economic policy and theory, specializing in international trade, and is recognized as an authority on the economic drivers and risks of globalization. His research interests include the impact of digital technology on the global economy, the future of work, globalization, regionalism, and European integration.He advises governments and international organizations around the world on globalization and trade policy issues. Arturo Bris is Douglas Geertz IMEDE 1988 Professor in Geopolitics and Business, Professor of Finance, and Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center (WCC), which produces trusted annual rankings on economies’ competitiveness. He works on the international aspects of financial regulation and corporate finance, and with governments to assess, measure, and manage the competitiveness of their countries. An award-winning teacher and program director, he ranks among the top 100 most-read finance academics worldwide. José Parra Moyano is Professor of Digital Strategy. He focuses on the management and economics of data and privacy and how firms can create sustainable value in the digital economy. An award-winning teacher, he also founded his own successful startup, was appointed to the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community of young people driving change, and was named on the Forbes ‘30 under 30’ list of outstanding young entrepreneurs in Switzerland. Mikołaj Jan Piskorski, also known as Misiek, is Professor of Digital Strategy, Analytics and Innovation and Dean of Executive Education. Michael Wade is the TONOMUS Professor of Strategy and Digital, and the Director of the TONOMUS Global Center for Digital and AI Transformation. In 2021, he was elected to the Digital Shapers Hall of Fame by a consortium of Swiss business media. Ben Bryant is Professor of Leadership and Organization. He was previously the Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Chair for Responsible Leadership. He works with a wide range of CEOs and their executive teams and presents his research at many leading academic institutions. His models and frameworks of leadership have been used in the development of top teams, senior and mid-level executives, and in the development of strategy, execution, and change. His research into cultures of innovation has been used to guide organizations to generate new sources of value creation. Michael Watkins is Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change. Salvatore Cantale is Professor of Finance. His academic and consulting work is divided into two different but complementary streams; he works at the intersection between strategy, business models, and financial results. Karl Schmedders is Professor of Finance. His research and teaching focuses on sustainability and the economics of climate change. Cyril Bouquet is Professor of Strategy and Innovation. Knut Haanaes is Professor of Strategy and Lundin Chair Professor of Sustainability. His research and teaching focus on strategy, sustainability, strategic renewal, and business models. He was the driving force behind the creation of the Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BS4CL) an alliance of eight leading European business schools, which was launched in 2021 to address the climate crisis. Carlos Cordon is Professor of Strategy and Supply Chain Management. His research and teaching are currently focused on the reconfiguration of supply chains in the face of persistent disruptions, how supply chains are driving revenue, reshoring and onshoring, and digital strategies. He is the author of numerous articles and case studies and has won various awards for his work. He was named on The Case Center list of the top 50 best-selling case authors globally in 2021/22 and was a winner in the 2017 EFMD Case Writing Competition with IMD colleagues for a case study on Adidas. Ralf Seifert is Professor of Operations Management. His primary research and teaching interests are operations management, supply chain strategy, and digital transformation. He has also worked on industry analysis, competitive strategy, and new venture formation. He has co-authored three managerial books, the book titled The Digital Supply Chain Challenge: Breaking Through, first published in 2020 serves as a handbook for supply chain executives navigating the complexities of digital transformation. Alongside his role at IMD, Seifert is a tenured professor at EPFL, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, where he has held the Chair of Technology and Operations Management since 2003.
